Saxon Woods/Weinberg Nature Center (Easy)
Details
A mild hike in two of Westchester's famed parks, Saxon Woods and the Weinberg Nature Center. Geared towards hikers seeking a slower-moderate paced hike on hiking trails, and with poles recommended. Restrooms available. Lots of scenery and great company. New hikers and those who haven't been on the trails for a while are encouraged to attend. Guests welcome. Inclement weather postpones the hike. Dogs on a leash may attend—Joint with Westchester Hiking Meetup Group.
Meet: 9:30 AM on the benches by the Saxon Woods Pool and restrooms at 1800 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY. 10605 (located by the Hutchinson River Parkway.) Public Transportation: Metro-North New Haven Line. Exit at Mamaroneck Ave. Take an Uber or Taxi 3 miles to Saxon Woods Pool, located at 1800 Mamaroneck Avenue.
