Join us for a scenic walk through two of Manhattan’s most beautiful northern parks: Fort Tryon Park and Inwood Hill Park! These stunning Manhattan parks offer incredible views of the Palisades and Hudson unlike anywhere else on the island. Along the way, we will get to appreciate Manhattan’s last natural woodlands, which the Parks Department even calls, “a living piece of old New York.” Reflecting on our landscape, the goal of this walk will be to slow down, think about how lucky we are to have this nature, and “grow” our relationship with nature!
We’ll start at the Cloisters in Fort Tryon Park, specifically, the entrance directly north of the Margaret Corbin Circle. Then, we will head north through and continue along the Hudson River Greenway before crossing into Inwood Hill Park.
Getting there: The closest subway is the A line 190th street stop.
Bring water, weather-appropriate clothes, bug spray, sturdy footwear, and a positive attitude! No dogs allowed on this hike.
If weather forces cancellation, we'll post an update at least 2 hours in advance.
