Join us for a scenic walk through one of America’s first rural cemeteries, right here in Brooklyn! Green-Wood Cemetery is a stunning place to slow down and enjoy the Sunday before Halloween. Officially now a National Historic Landmark, Green-Wood Cemetery helped inspire the design of both Central and Prospect Park.

We will start at the 20th st & Prospect Park West entrance. As we explore this beautiful cemetery, we’ll admire the landscape, trees, and remarkable monuments this historic place offers. We’ll hike at a comfortable pace. There will be a few short hills. We will stop for photos and take a snack break with a nice view.

Please meet us at the park entrance at the corner of 20th Street and Prospect Park West.

Getting there: The closest subway stop is the F / G 15th St Prospect Park stop (5-minute walk from start)
Bring water, weather-appropriate clothes, bug spray, sturdy footwear, and a positive attitude! No dogs are allowed on this hike.
If weather forces cancellation, we'll post an update at least 2 hours in advance.
