This hike will follow Bearfort Ridge southward toward Terrace Pond, one of the largest mountain lakes in New Jersey. The second part of the hike will return on a lower ridge. Carry lunch and water. Hiking boots or trail shoes are essential. As a necessary precaution during shorter days, carry a headlamp in case we need to finish after sunset due to an unforeseen emergency. The distance will be 7.5 miles, and the elevation gain will be 1300 feet.

Meet at Ringwood Park and Ride. There is an available bus service from NYC (NJT @197). We will carpool to the trail.
