Join AMC and Birder Extraordinaire Miriam Rakowski on a tour of the NY Historical's Audubon's Birds of America Focus Gallery.

This gallery is one of the only places to see the artist's original watercolor models for The Birds of America. It features a bimonthly rotation that highlights a single species at a time. Each rotation includes additional watercolors and other works of art that showcase the artist’s creative process and discusses his role in environmental conservation and racial oppression.

Feel free to take some time to explore the other galleries and enjoy the live music.

Afterwards, we'll wander over to a local cafe for a quick bite and shared conversation.

Meet at 5:30pm at the entrance to the NY Historical. Admission is Pay-As-You-Wish on Friday evenings. The nearest subways are the A and C line to West 81st and Central Park West. Then walk to West 77th Street.

Register on the AMC website at [https://activities.outdoors.org/s/oc-activity/a5UUN000002BQ652AG/act00018566](activities/outdoors.org) ... or RSVP Yes on Meetup.
