LAST MINUTE URBAN CROSS COUNTRY SKIING ADVENTURE!

Let's take advantage of a rare snowstorm to kick and glide in New York City with awesome views of skyscrapers and waterfronts! We'll head to Randall's Island, where there tends to be late shoveling and plowing. We'll do our best to find untrampled snow, but no guarantees about the conditions. How cool will it be to take public transportation to a cross country ski destination!

Registration on activities.outdoors.org is mandatory. Participants must have some cross country ski experience and all necessary equipment. Please be sure to dress appropriately for weather and ski conditions. Bring water, snacks and a headlamp in case we want to stay out late. No snowshoers or hikers on this trip please.

Meeting Place: SE corner of 1st Ave & E102nd Street, in front of Dunkin'
Meeting Time: 4:00 PM, we depart at 4:35pm
Terrain: Flat with rolling hills
Pace: Relaxed at 1.0-2.0 mph
Distance: Up to 5 miles
