Marshlands Conservancy Loop Morning Hike (Easy)
Details
After a long cold snowy winter, I’m ready to enjoy spring! Join me to get out into the woods and enjoy the warmer temps, blossoming plants, and singing birds on Saturday, April 11th. This is an easy, beginner friendly hike will be approximately 2 hours long and cover about 4 miles with about 171’ of elevation gain. The average moving pace will be between 1 1/2- 2 mph but will depend on trail conditions and the participants. This is a beginner friendly hike so we will go as fast as the slowest person.
We will meet in the parking lot at 10am. Please be courteous and arrive on time. I will wait 15minutes to before starting introductions.
You won’t need a lot of gear, but I do recommend sturdy footwear, a backpack, non-cotton clothing suitable for hiking, full rain gear, at least 2 liters of water, a lunch or snacks, bug spray, and sun block. Trekking poles are optional but recommended as our terrain will include uneven sections with rocks, roots, and possibly some wet ground.
These hikes are open to all who qualify and you do not have to be a member of AMC to participate. On-line registration is required: REGISTER
