We will meet at East 84th Street and East End Avenue outside Carl Schurz Park, then walk north along the East River to the Wards Island Pedestrian Bridge at 103rd Street, then north along the Randall's Island shore, take a break at the Ichan Stadium restrooms, walk under the railroad viaduct to the north end of Randall's Island, then across the pedestrian bridge into Port Morris in the Bronx.
Next, we'll walk around Port Morris, along Bruckner Boulevard, to 149th Street, to Oak Point Avenue, where we can see North Brother Island, then to Barretto Point Park in Hunts Point, where we will have lunch. After lunch we walk to Hunts Point Landing park, then to a section of the South Bronx Greenway, then Hunts Point Riverside Park.
Next we cross the Bronx River on the Bruckner Boulevard Bridge and head into Soundview Park. We will pass a small deli for water and snacks and take a break at the Soundview Park restrooms, enjoy the views from the park, walk into the Harding Park neighborhood for the best views of the walk, then follow the Shore Haven pathway to Clason Point Park to get the Soundview Ferry.
