The hike will include one, possibly two, ridge trails for 8 to 10 miles with up to 1600 feet of elevation gain.
Bus riders from NYC take the NJT 197 bus departing at 8.30 a.m. from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, arrive at Ringwood Park and Ride in Ringwood, NJ at 9.47 a.m. (Transportation Code 3B) There is an hourly return service in the afternoon. The hike is listed as 'Show and Go'; however, you have the option to use the 'Register Now' button on this page. Bring lunch, 1-2 liters of water, a warm layer, and rain gear. Trekking poles are optional but recommended in this terrain. We're back into tick season, so insect repellent and long pants are advised. Please, no dogs or drones on this hike.
