Great Manhattan Bridge Walk
Details
The Great Manhattan Bridge Walk - walk across and between the 17 walkable bridges that connect to Manhattan Island - about 33 miles in 12 hours. This a joint walk with AMC and Shorewalkers and is listed on both Meetups, sign up on either group.
Bring water, snacks, lunch, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. We will take two lunch breaks, the first at Macombs Dam Park across from Yankee Stadium and the second at Ichan Stadium on Randall's Island. There aren't many bottle fillers along the way so bring extra water or buy some along the way.
Bikes, ebikes, and mopeds use the bridge walkways, and bridge intersections are disordered messes with aggressive drivers - walk carefully.

We will not walk the George Washington Bridge as a group, If you want to walk the George Washington Bridge, do so on your own before meeting with the group. If you walk all the way to the Jersey side and back it's 2.8 miles, but you can also walk as far as the New York/New Jersey border noted on the walkway then turn back which would be about 2 miles. Either way, meet the group on the third floor of the bus station or wait for the group at the entrance to the North walkway.
Meet: 9:00 am George Washington Bridge Bus Station third floor, Fort Washington Ave. between 178th St. and 179th St., supermarket first floor, restrooms third floor. Take the A train to 175th St. and walk through the passageway or take the 1 train to 181st Street and walk over to the bus station.
