WILLIAMSBURG-TREND SETTING NEIGHBORHOOD WITH STUNNING WATERFRONT VIEWS
Details
Once again Friday is looking like a nice day to be outdoors this weekend. We begin this urban hike seeing a part of historic Williamsburg in Brooklyn, before getting to Bedford Avenue, the epicenter of this hip neighborhood with its trendy cafes, boutiques and galleries. After spending some time in the popular McCarren Park, we make our way to parks and homes along the waterfront, with the amazing viewpoints. Get some delicious ice cream at OddFellows Ice Cream Parlor at the end of the day. We finish at the L train on Bedford Avenue, one stop away from Manhattan.
We will walk at a steady, moderate but not slow pace over a distance of around 4 miles, stopping at places of interest. There will be no lunch stop, so bring some snacks along if you wish. (This hike is intended for adults 18 years and older and please no dogs). Precipitation or even questionable forecast may cancel, postpone or modify; check website for latest updates. We meet at 1:00 PM in front of Kellogg's Diner at 518 Metropolitan Avenue near Union Avenue in Brooklyn. Take the L or G subway lines to Metropolitan Avenue/Lorimer Street and exit at Union and Metropolitan Avenue by the 24-hour toll booth.
You have an option of signing a paper liability waiver at the meeting place, but encouraged to do so online on the AMC website by clicking on link below:
