Have you ever wanted to try backpacking but weren't sure where to start? Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly overnight trip at Croton Point Park where you'll learn the basics of backpacking in a supportive and welcoming environment. This is a camping experience designed to help new backpackers build confidence before heading into the backcountry. We'll spend one night at a tent campsite while discussing basic backpacking skills, reviewing gear selection, camp setup, trip planning, outdoor safety and ultimately learn how it's possible to put everything you need in an actual backpack 😮. No previous backpacking or camping experience is required.

## Gear Availability
Limited backpacking gear is available to borrow, including tents, sleeping pads, and other essential equipment.
Loaner gear is available on a first-come, first-served basis and requires advance notice.

- No experience necessary.

- Personal camping and backpacking gear is encouraged if you already own it.
- A detailed gear list and additional trip information will be provided after registration.

- Don't have all the gear? It's all good! You can borrow gear: tents, sleeping pads and sleeping bags, tents, etc. Please let the trip leader know of your needs.
