Join us for a 3- to 4-mile hike in Westchester’s Saxon Woods Park. The hike will be done in the northern section of the park, located north of the Hutchinson River Parkway. This event is ideal for hikers who prefer a slower-to-moderate pace, as the route consists mainly of hiking trails with some hard-paved paths. Restrooms are available for your convenience. The trails offer very scenic views and an excellent opportunity to enjoy the company of fellow hikers. Newcomers and those who have not been on the trails recently are especially encouraged to participate. Kids are welcome to come along with their parents or relatives as long as they can keep up with the group. Pets on leashes are welcome. Please note that inclement weather will postpone the hike.

Meet at 9:30 AM on the benches located at the entrance of the parking lot, on the right side by the Saxon Woods Pool. The GPS address for the meeting location is: 1800 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY.

Public Transportation: Grand Central Terminal New Haven Line 8:36 AM arriving in Mamaroneck at 9:18 AM. Either catch the Number 60 bus going to White Plains if the timing is right, or chip in and share an UBER or local taxi to the Saxon Woods Pool. Check the train schedule before leaving home. Let me know of any schedule changes. Complementary rides back to the train station will be offered after the hike.

AMC Hike Leader: Steve Galla, 914-953-2222, texting preferred.
