Hike at Pyramid Mountain and Turkey Mountain

This hike will include Tripod Rock, Taylortown Reservoir, the Hundred Steps Trail, Lake Valhalla Overlook, and more. Possible displays of woodland fungi after recent rain. The total distance will be 8-9 miles, and elevation gain will be 1300'. It is rated as Vigorous under the Club's rating system. Meeting place is The Meadetown Shopping Center on Rte 23. Carry a day pack with water and lunch. Hiking boots/trail shoes are essential. The Meadetown Shopping Center is on Route 23 about 3.5 mi. west of its junction with I-287. If coming from I-287/Wayne/NYC direction, take exit signposted Kiel Ave Kinnelon Road, Meadetown Shopping Center, and follow signs to the Meadetown Shopping Center, which is on the opposite side of Route 23.
