URBAN WALK: Van Cortlandt Park Stroll - New Members Welcome!
Details
New to the Appalachian Mountain Club? Looking to connect with other folks who love getting outdoors? Come meet new AMC friends on a walk around Van Cortlandt Park!
Explore the beauty of this surprisingly sylvan park in the Bronx. We'll walk at a leisurely pace on pavement and trails for about 5 miles with minor elevation gain, stopping at points of interest. Wear sturdy walking shoes and weather appropriate clothes. Bring 1 liter of water and lunch/snacks.
If you are new to the AMC, this is a great starter event! New and existing members, as well as prospective members are welcome!!
Meet at 10:00am on the sidewalk near the benches by the public restroom just north of the 242nd Street Subway Station. This is the last stop on the 1 line.
Leader-in-Training: Pete Bogolub
