Come Walk In The Rain @ Randall's Island

This event is organized by the AMC OutDoors For All Committee of the NY NoJ Chapter in collaboration with the CCNY OutDoors Club

Join us for a fun 4 mile urban hike and waterfront walk on Randall’s Island. We will meet inside the Metro-North, Harlem-125th St Station's coffee stand/ police station.
We will hike at an easy and relaxed pace so we can enjoy the views, take pictures, and have fun together.
We will walk along the East River, explore green spaces, pass under major bridges, and enjoy views of Queens and Manhattan
We will also stop at interesting places around the island, and learn a little about the area.
Please bring lunch or snacks for our 20 minute break
(if it's raining, we might just take a bathroom break, and
just bring a snack, 10 minutes).
Bring at least 2 liters of water, & mosquito repellent.
Most of the walk is on paved paths, but some areas may be muddy.
Hiking boots or waterproof shoes are strongly recommended.
Please dress for cooler (layers) and wet weather
The bus ride to Randall’s Island costs $3
using OMNY.
We will finish by walking across the 103rd Street Footbridge, and continue to the 103rd Street subway station on Lexington Avenue for the 4 5 and 6 trains.
After the walk you can also stop for food on the way to the train station including Puerto Rican food, and food from other cultures.
If you choose to eat after the walk plan to spend about $10 to $20.
