East River from Manhattan to Brooklyn

Details
** Update: We will skip the Manhattan side East River Greenway due to multiple closures for the new sea wall construction. **
Wrap up your weekend with a brisk walk to experience the East River from both sides of the water.
We’ll start by walking down the East River Greenway in Manhattan, crossing the Williamsburg Bridge, and then finally strolling along the Williamsburg Esplanade in Brooklyn. Williamsburg has seen massive development in the past 10 years so there’s a lot to see. There will also be great opportunities to take stunning sunset views of the Manhattan skyline. If there’s time and interest, we may also check out nearby Marsha P Johnson State Park.
Our journey is approximately 5 miles on paved, mostly flat terrain except for the elevation to climb the bridge.
Meet by 6pm at the Vital Climbing Gym’s Georgie Cafe on the Lower East Side. We’ll have a brief talk about AMC and the evening’s route and start off no later than 6:15pm.
This is a Show & Go event. No registration is necessary but please RSVP so we know how many to expect. Everyone will be asked to sign the Waiver at the start of the trip.
Ferry Schedules. Nearest Subway are J Z F M Essex Street Stn.
Hope to see you there!
