Urban Walk: Van Cortlandt Park - North of 242nd Street

Start: 11:00 AM | Entrance to the Van Cortlandt Park Pool - 242nd Street and Broadway, New York City.
MEETING LOCATION

Please meet the trip guide Dev (he/him) down on the grass near the entrance to the pool. This is just below/behind the public restroom.
Dev will have a green AMC logo hat, black AMC logo shirt and a black backpack.

End: 2:00 PM | (SAME AS START)

This weekend we plan to go for a walk in Van Cortlandt Park that travels approximately 4.5 miles with features such as Van Cortlandt Lake, rock outcroppings and the Old Putnam Trail. We will discuss all things Appalachian Mountain Club as well as relevant activity related topics such as Leave No Trace. The route may be modified at the guide's discretion should it be necessary. Please be prepared to be outside in the Earth's elements for three hours and dress according for the activity and anticipated weather. Please bring water and food as well as any other items you need.
