Day of the Dead hike! West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Heritage Trail, Manayunk Stairs

Join us for a fun, 7-9 mile hike full of tombstones, bridges and staircases! We’ll begin at the Gustine Recreation Center (there should be plenty of parking here). We’ll then cross over the Pencoyd Bridge- taking a brief pause at Landing Kitchen for anyone who wants a quick coffee/bathroom stop- and continue into West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
After a meander through the cemetery we’ll pick up the Cynwyd Heritage Trail, and then connect to the Manayunk Bridge where we’ll explore the area to find a few hidden staircases. Total elevation is about 500ft and be prepared to climb about 225 steps!
We’ll walk out of Manayunk and head back towards our starting point, stopping at The Landing Kitchen for post-walk drinks/food. Lots of outdoor seating here, bring a jacket/sweatshirt! Back-up eating plan (in case of poor weather) is Manayunk Brewing Co.
