Walk around the City of Philadelphia
Details
(This event is for all those who have walked a Camino, are planning to walk a Camino, or are interested in learning more about the Camino!)
Let’s kick off 2026 with a walk around the city of Philadelphia!
We’ll do a 6 mile walk including 3 miles (round trip) on the pedestrian walkway of the Ben Franklin Bridge. The walk will start at the Franklin Square PATCO station at 10:15am*. Please arrive a few minutes early, so we can leave on time. Bathrooms are available at Franklin Square Park (next to the PATCO station) at 10:00am. There are also restrooms ar the Independence Visitor Center at 6th and Market. After brief introductions, we’ll head to the bridge, walk to Chinatown, and continue to Elixr Coffee Roasters for a bathroom/coffee break. After our break, we will walk to the Rail Park and then head to City Hall/Dillworth Plaza. Finally, we will walk to the Reading Terminal Market for a post-walk bite to eat. If you don’t plan to stay for lunch, you can easily continue on your way.
It can be windy on the bridge, so dress appropriately.
*If you are coming from New Jersey, Danielle will be at the Haddonfield PATCO station at 9:30am. There is a 9:36am train that arrives at Franklin Square at 9:52am.
