Bible Study: Gospel of Matthew
Details
This year the Christian lectionary centers on the Gospel of Matthew, and we’re taking the opportunity to read it carefully and together.
Matthew is a Gospel that speaks plainly and powerfully about discipleship, community, justice, mercy, and what it means to follow Jesus in real life. In this Bible study, we’ll move through the text at a thoughtful pace, paying attention to the story Matthew tells and the questions it raises—both for the early church and for us today.
This group is discussion-based and welcoming. You don’t need any special background in theology or biblical studies, and you don’t need to have all the answers. Listening, asking honest questions, and engaging the text together are at the heart of the experience.
