What we’re about
Are you an American in Darmstadt or the surrounding area? Do you want to hang out and enjoy conversation with fellow Americans?
We aim to build community and create a positive impact in the local area and abroad. To that end, our group will host events of interest to Americans in terms of Darmstadt area. Think book club nights covering current issues (i.e. Resistance Roundtable), a 4th of July family cookout, attending the local CSD, hikes that aren't 50 miles long, etc. As a new group we are open to suggestions for events!
All are welcome, non-American friends and family most definitely included.
Finally: this group is opposed to all forms of discrimination and fascism.

Democrats Abroad (Frankfurt Area Chapter) invite you to a lunch at Karlson in Darmstadt, with short presentations, group conversation, and music.
Presentations - Barb will discuss current events in the US and ways to meaningfully resist Trump & Co. - even from abroad! Hannah will present on how big tech & surveillance capitalism got us here, and the role of technology in resistance.
All are welcome to join; we ask that you come with an open mind and support liberal democracy and human rights.
