Self Defense: Hand-to-Hand Combatives
In Self Defense: Hand-to-Hand Combatives students are introduced to very effective, life-saving techniques. These include: hands-on defensive training, survival mentatlity, decision making, situational awareness. While mastering self-defense skills can take years of dedicated training, students will take the first steps towards self preservation in this 2 day training with undefeated Golden Gloves champion and black belt instructor Aaron Kinball. Being able to fight your way out of a bad situation is critical, but being able to recognize a situation developing and avoid it is even more critical for self preservation and survival. This class is a combination of classroom teaching and hands-on self defense, please dress appropriately in athletic attire.

They their experience as combat veterans serving in dangerous locations around the world with their love for adventure and bushcraft, to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience. Matt Tate: Matt's love of survival started as young kid growing up in a Cherokee community where the old ways of hunting, fishing and bushcraft of the Native American culture are still cherished. Today, he owns Integrated Survival Systems and pursues his passion of teaching others life-saving survival techniques. He holds a patent for a mission adaptable holster currently used by Tier One operators and has designed a knife with Dozier knives specific to survival training. His survival experience is matched by his tactical experience; serving as an Army Engineer in Fallujah, Matt encountered heavy combat. He then went on to serve with the Oklahoma Military Dept, Employment Security Commission and the Executive Branch of the US Govt.

Training Location: Our training site at Rockford Grange at Bear Hollow Ranch ( is in one of the most beautiful, natural areas of Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, this location boasts 3,000 acres of pristine wilderness with 20 acres of stocked ponds and two miles of crystal clear waters of Big Sugar Creek. As an exotic big game ranch, it is not uncommon to see elk, red stag and bison roaming the property as well as trophy white tail deer. With other wild game ranging from otter, mink, rabbit to name just a few. This one-of-a-kind destination is sure not to disappoint.
