Welcome to the Meetup profile for America's Boating Club of Valley Forge. This is the local squadron for the Philadelphia suburb area.
We are volunteers who offer our members and the public courses and seminars in boating. The courses and seminars, held in classrooms and online, deal with such topics as basic boating, boat handling, navigation, use of marine electronics (GPS, AIS, Radar, marine radios, etc), weather and many more. Our courses are relevant to power boaters, sail boaters, paddle boaters, and those who use boats while fishing. A number of our members boat on the Chesapeake Bay and are certified Vessel Safety Check Examiners.
If you are interested in learning about boating, you are welcome to enroll in our courses and seminars. Members can join in on other activities.
We have regular monthly dinner meetings during which we often have speakers who talk about boating and topics related to boating such as the environment.
