Speakeasy

I’m a fan of Vital Lacerda’s games (if you are not familiar, he is known for heavy, complex games). Speakeasy is hands-down my favorite game of his. I’m going to set up a couple events over the next few months to teach and play Speakeasy. In the Spring, I’ll host a Speakeasy-themed event where we can dress up and make it a whole thing.

For this event on 1/18, I will not play, but I will teach and help run 2 tables (ideally each 3 player games).

  1. Because this event is at my house, you must have attended another event so we have met in person prior to attending this event.
  2. Please bring a small snack / side dish food item to share and leave a comment when you know what you're planning to bring so we don't end up with too many similar items. I will make a crock pot of meatballs for dinner. Please eat lunch before you come.
  3. If you’re newer to gaming, this isn’t a great game to begin with and I recommend attending the open gaming events instead. If you’re an experienced gamer, but aren’t sure about a Lacerda game, I recommend trying it out. This one is well tied into the theme and I’ll be there to help.
  4. Prep work: I would like folks to try to watch a video or skim the rulebook in advance. I will do a full teach before we start, but there is a lot to it.
