April Fools? No! It's April Duels! Join us for head-to-head battles in two-player duel games. This is a joint event with the Rockingham Board Game Club in New Hampshire - and the 56 Board Game Group in San Deigo, CA.

You must know the game rules in advance in order to participate, so watch a video, read the rules, or play in advance at another event.

Tie-breaker Game:

Each player will play all 5 games and will play against a new opponent in each game. The player with the most wins* will be crowned our 2026 East Coast Duelist Champion.
*If there is a tie for most wins, players will play a 6th game - Azul: Duel to determine a coastal winner. A teach will be provided for this extra game.

In a fun twist, the folks who created the original April Duels Day in my old game group (the 56 Board Game Group) in San Diego are hosting a West Coast April Duels event the same evening. The winner of the East Coast will play a final duel against the winner of the West Coast in a follow-up game of Azul Duel on BGA (online rules, BGA available). The winner will receive the for a chance to be the "Best USA Dueler”! (Time to be determined by winners’ schedules; attendees invited to watch the duel via Zoom).

There will be a prize for the winner of each coast and a prize for the Best USA Dueler!
