Global Palestine Kite Day in Taipei

Join us on the Global Palestine Kite Day to raise awareness for the cause of freedom and human rights for the Palestinian people.

The kite has become a powerful symbol of Palestinian anti-colonial resistance. In 2011, more than 12,000 children in Gaza flew kites on the beach, setting a new world record for most kites flown simultaneously. Devastatingly, more children have been killed by Israel during their genocide against Palestinians in Gaza than flew kites in 2011.

On 25th May, with each kite that soars high into the sky, we will pay tribute to the lives lost and stand in solidarity with the unwavering resilience of the Palestinian people.

Together, let’s rise up—one kite at a time.

We will be:
•⁠ ⁠Flying kites
•⁠ ⁠Doing outreach to the public to engage and educate on Palestine
•⁠ ⁠Holding a children and family friendly arts and craft corner

We welcome you to:
•⁠ ⁠Bring a kite (kites are encouraged but not necessary to attend and be in solidarity)
•⁠ ⁠Help us chat to the public (we have educational leaflets, stickers, zines prepared for you)

請參加我們的「全球巴勒斯坦風箏日」，一起為巴勒斯坦人民的自由與人權發聲。

風箏已成為巴勒斯坦反殖民抵抗的重要象徵。2011年，加薩有超過12,000名兒童在海灘上放風箏，創下同時放飛風箏最多的世界紀錄。令人心碎的是，在以色列對加薩巴勒斯坦人進行的種族滅絕中，被殺害的兒童人數已超過當年放風箏的孩子。

5月25日，當每一隻風箏飛向天空，我們將悼念逝去的生命，並與巴勒斯坦人民堅定不移的抵抗精神站在一起。

讓我們一起升起風箏，一次一隻，共同挺身而出。

我們將會：
•⁠ ⁠放風箏
•⁠ ⁠與民眾交流，進行有關巴勒斯坦議題的教育與宣導
•⁠ ⁠設置適合兒童與家庭參與的藝術手作區

•⁠ ⁠自備風箏（歡迎帶風箏，但不帶也沒關係，您仍然可以參與並表達支持）
•⁠ ⁠協助與民眾互動（我們準備了教育單張、貼紙與小冊子供您使用）
