Know Your Rights: Protesting in Taiwan

Details

Are you passionate about making a difference and taking action but unsure what you're legally allowed to do as a foreign national in Taiwan? Some community members have shared concerns about participating in protests or volunteering with human rights organizations due to unclear regulations.

Join us for an informative and empowering session where we’ll break down the legal rights and limitations related to freedom of assembly in Taiwan. Learn what’s permitted, what to be cautious about, and how you can safely and confidently get involved in the causes you care about.

We’ll explore your rights as a protester, current regulations surrounding freedom of association and the significant impact of the Sunflower Movement in how it reshaped the legal landscape for freedom of assembly in Taiwan for both citizens and non-citizens alike.

Date: September 25th, Thursday
Time: 7-9pm
Location: 人性空間 Human Space Roosevelt (台北市中正區羅斯福路三段286巷4弄1號1樓)
