Amnesty Zürich English Group Invites You to a Critical Online Panel Discussion Addressing the Humanitarian Crisis in Palestine and Advocating for a Ceasefire. Join us for a vital conversation on the ongoing famine impacting Palestinians, highlighted by severe violations of international humanitarian law by Israeli forces. The International Court of Justice has identified these actions as posing a plausible risk of genocide.

This event aims to mobilise support for an immediate ceasefire and explore actionable ways in which individuals and the international community can contribute toward ending apartheid and supporting peace efforts.

The event will commence with a brief 4-minute Amnesty screening, setting the stage for an in-depth discussion and Q&A session. Representatives various working groups will share their insights on critical issues such as apartheid, occupation, humanitarian aid shortages, and human rights violations. Moderators Humayra Rabab, an Amnesty volunteer and another Amnesty representative will facilitate the conversation with our esteemed panelists, Bushra Khalidi, Becca Strober, Sulaiman Khatib and Rania Madi. We will delve deep into the ongoing crisis and learn about actions that individuals and the international community can take to foster peace.
