What we’re about

Founded in 2001 by artist Ellen Griesedieck, the American Mural Project (AMP) is home to the largest indoor collaborative artwork in the world—a three-dimensional, indoor mural spanning 120 feet in length and five stories in height. Located in Winsted, CT, the mural honors American workers and serves as an inspiration for creativity and collaboration.

The indoor mural exhibit is open to the public Fridays and Saturdays, 10am–5pm, and Sundays, 12–5pm. In additon to the mural exhibit, AMP offers educational programs and live events.
