🇯🇵 About the Mindful Origami Workshop

Learn to unfold your mind while making beautiful origami models, guided by Samuel Tsang, an experienced crafts trainer and author of two books on the art of origami. Learn the powerful practice of origami, an experience that will encourage you to slow down and experience moments of mindfulness.

This is an instructor-lead, hands-on crafting session. You will be able to follow the trainer’s step-by-step instructions live and at the same time view the demonstration enlarged on a projector screen. While you will also be provided with all the materials needed, you are also welcome to use your own origami paper if you prefer.

🎎 Participants

This event is meant for adult professionals living in Amsterdam. The workshop is suitable for all levels. Both origami and mindfulness beginners are warmly welcome!

🪷 About the Symbol Edition

Bring calm into your life by learning the mindful practice of folding paper. The art of origami is best known from the Asian tradition of folding paper cranes. The paper crane is an iconic and powerful symbol of hope, healing and happiness. According to tradition, if a person were to fold a thousand paper cranes in one year, they would be granted a single wish and a long and joyful life.

During this edition of the mindful origami workshops we will be folding different symbols representing the ego, virtue and spiritual nourishment. Expect to leave the workshop with some beautiful creations of lotus and lily flowers.
