Who are you when you drop the thinking mind and listen to your body ?
In modern daily life, we constantly treat our bodies as mere instruments to check off to-do lists, maintain composure, and fit into social roles. We live heavily in our heads—analyzing, second-guessing, and filtering who we are.
For our September workshop in Amsterdam, we return from our summer theatre residency in 🇨🇳China with an invitation to step out of the cognitive grind and hit reset. Through dynamic movement, play, and somatic exploration, we will drop the armor of social judgment, quiet the overthinking mind, and rediscover the vibrant, unfiltered human being underneath.
We are looking forward to moving, playing, and reconnecting with you .
🎭 Theme: Meeting Yourself Anew
In this session, we move from habitual thinking into embodied discovery.
🌟We will explore:
- Taming the "Monkey Mind": Physical exercises to tire out your inner critic so your body can move freely.
- Beyond the Social Mask: Letting go of the pressure to "look good" or "perform correctly."
- The Body as a Compass: Listening to what your physical impulses and sensations are telling you when words fail.
- Authentic Visibility: Experiencing the freedom of truly seeing and being seen without judgment.
🌿 What You’ll Experience:
- Dynamic Body Awakening: Playful, physical warm-ups to shake off mental fatigue and social tension.
- Sensory & Spatial Awareness: Grounding exercises to drop out of your head and land in your body.
- Playful Partner & Group Improvisation: physical games that dismantle awkwardness and build effortless connection.
- Circle Sharing: Gentle reflection to ground your physical discoveries and take them back into everyday life.
