What does it mean to share space?
In a world that moves faster every day, this question feels increasingly urgent. For our next monthly workshop in Amsterdam, we are stepping out of the "ordinary stream of life" to explore the art of being present with one another.
We invite you to make space. To breathe. To listen. Through movement and physical theatre, we will discover the invisible threads that connect us, moving and playing together to understand what happens when we truly arrive in the same space at the same time. We are looking forward to moving, and being moved, with you.

🎭 Theme: Coming Together
In this session, we transition from the individual to the ensemble. We will explore:

  • The Shared Breath: How do we find a collective rhythm?
  • The Architecture of Presence: How our bodies occupy and transform a room.
  • Deep Listening: Moving beyond words to sense the intentions of those around us.
  • The Joy of Play: Finding spontaneity through group connection.

This isn’t about "acting"—it’s about the raw, honest experience of discovering the conditions of a shared space.

🌿 What You’ll Experience

  • Physical Theatre Games: Dynamic exercises designed to sharpen your awareness of others.
  • Sensing & Moving: Guided explorations to help you "soften" into the environment.
  • Ensemble Play: Group improvisations where we create something larger than ourselves.
  • A Slow Space: A rare chance to disconnect from the "hustle" and reconnect with the human.

👥 Who Is This For?
Perfect for anyone who wants to:
✔ Explore how we inhabit space with others.
✔ Improve awareness, empathy, and non-verbal communication.
✔ Take a break from the digital world to be physically present.
✔ Meet new people through a shared, creative experience.
Absolutely no experience needed. Whether you are a seasoned performer or have never stepped foot in a studio, you are welcome exactly as you are.

☁️ Meet Your Facilitators
Cloud Causality was founded by three artists who have been collaborating across the Netherlands and China since 2023:

  • 🇩🇰 Gustav Marcus Lauesen - Danish creative actor & theatre maker.
  • 🇩🇰 Emil Aron Dorph - Danish actor (featured in the Netflix film Ehrengard: The Art of Seduction).
  • 🇨🇳 Zippo Guo - Chinese physical theatre artist & illusionist.

Our work is inspired by the Danish Folk High School tradition—prioritizing experiential learning, play, and human connection over pressure and performance.

This workshop will be lead by Gustav and Emil.
