Art Zuid

Another edition of the sculpture biennial Art Zuid has landed unto the grand avenues of the south of Amsterdam. This event transforms the Apollolaan neighbourhood into a world class open air museum during the summer.
This year's edition was curated by the director of the famous art museum 'de Fundatie' in Zwolle. He has managed to get some very interesting artists to exhibit their art at this year's Art Zuid. Many of these sculptures have amazing stories behind them, which is why it's a good idea to join me on this tour. I've dug deep into the stories and concepts concerning the art on display at the biennial and discovered surprising, fascinating, moving, and even some hilarious things. This background knowledge will certainly improve your appreciation of these artworks.
