A literary fiction book club for thoughtful readers.
This group is for people who enjoy reading novels and short stories seriously and discussing ideas, character, and moral complexity. We’ll focus on literary fiction—classic and contemporary—and aim for engaged, civil, and reflective conversation rather than debate or plot summary.
The group will be especially appealing to writers and close readers interested in voice, structure, and craft.
Organized by a former UC Berkeley professor in genomics with a long-standing love of literature and ideas.
