A free classical concert by students of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Now featuring Auró Duo, consisting of Marta Atcher Soler (violin) and Marta Jiménez Ramírez (cello).
This program explores the expressive and virtuosic landscape of 17th-century music, with works that highlight the richness of the Baroque repertoire for violin and cello. Each piece offers its own perspective on the evolving styles of the time, from refined contrapuntal structures to improvisational freedom and dance-like movements.

The Auró Duo is a Baroque ensemble based in Amsterdam. The musicians met during their master's studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. The name Auró refers to a type of wood used in the 17th century and symbolizes the duo's deep connection to both the craft and traditions of the Baroque period.

Free concert

This music project, founded and led by renowned percussionist Sahin During, stands for cultural change. Each phase of the project focuses on a single clear theme, such as cultural exchange, musical innovation, education, or heritage, depending on the context and the project partners involved.
These Afro-Anatolian stories build a musical bridge between East and West and explore a wide range of soundscapes. The music transcends the boundaries of traditional genres and weaves Eastern and Western influences into a vibrant, constantly evolving, and cinematic tapestry.

## De zielsvolle avond van erbij horen

Deze bijeenkomst is meer dan een boekpresentatie; het is een gezamenlijk ritueel van verhalen, reflectie en verbondenheid tussen culturen. Er worden hapjes en drankjes geserveerd.

Gasten worden uitgenodigd om een klein voorwerp mee te nemen dat thuis symboliseert, iets dat je troost of rust geeft, om op ons altaar van saamhorigheid te leggen.

De avond wordt gepresenteerd door Nina Aziz Justin, zakelijk tractiestrateeg, veerkrachtmentor en TEDx-spreker, wiens leven en werk zich uitstrekken over vijf landen en meer dan veertig jaar. Ze combineert Oosterse wijsheid, Westers inzicht en persoonlijke verhalen om te onderzoeken wat het betekent om een thuis van binnen te creëren.

Begeleid door Bea Salomma, imagodeskundige op het gebied van identiteit en zelfexpressie, met gesprekken onder leiding van Mickelle Weber, oprichter van House of Peregrine, een wereldwijde ledengemeenschap voor internationaal leven.

On Tuesday evenings, our café is the setting for Tuesday Jam! Still under the inspiring leadership of Jasper Blom, saxophonist and winner of the Boy Edgar Prize in 2019, this is the place where musicians of all ages, both professional and up-and-coming, meet and inspire each other. With the award-winning jazz program of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam just a few hundred meters away, there is no shortage of up-and-coming talent. Add to that the spontaneous visits of world-class musicians (Esperanza Spalding/Seamus Blake/Dick Oatts) and you have the perfect mix. In short, this is the session that jazz musicians and enthusiasts should not miss.
