Free classical lunch concert @Buiksloterkerk

Duo Sonorous and mezzo-soprano Femke Hulsman – free lunch break concert!

Duo Sonorous on organ and violin, together with mezzo-soprano Femke Hulsman, will perform music by Bach, Fauré, Vivaldi, and others in this free lunch concert.

Lisette Carlebur and Victor Manuel Baena de la Torre, who together form Duo Sonorous, are well known to the audience of Podium Buiksloterkerk. They will be accompanied in this concert by singer Femke Hulsman. This talented mezzo-soprano studied classical singing at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. She is currently pursuing a master's degree at the Dutch National Opera Academy with singing teacher Sasja Hunnego. She can also be heard in various opera productions.
Lisette Carlebur started violin lessons at the age of five, was recognized as a great talent at an early age, and has won numerous prizes since the age of thirteen. She has played with renowned orchestras at home and abroad and, since January 2021, has also formed a successful duo with pianist Carlos Marín Rayo. She teaches at the Amsterdam-Noord Music School, among others.

Victor Manuel Baena de la Torre is an internationally renowned organist. He began his studies in Spain, continued them in Amsterdam and Hamburg, and won several important prizes. Víctor has played on famous organs at home and abroad, is currently organist at the Mozes en Aäronkerk, and since April 2023 has been the first junior organist-in-residence at the Pieterskerk in Leiden. He lives and works in Amsterdam-Noord, where he is a mentor and organ teacher at the small but sonorous organ of the Buiksloterkerk.

The performance starts at 1:00 p.m. and lasts until 1:30 p.m.
