Join us for a unique private event at the beautiful Willet Holthuysen House in Amsterdam! We are taking over the museum with drinks, nibbles, the curator of its new exhibition, and 3 museum docents!
Please join us at on one of Amsterdam's most beautiful canals, as we have the honour of enjoying the Willet Holthuysen Museum all on our own!
We will be welcomed by the curator Thys Boers for the upcoming exhibition “Friede auf Erden” by artists in resident Sander & Witte. In this exhibition, artist duo Sander Breure and Witte van Hulzen revive the hidden wartime history of the Willet-Holthuysen House through a new video installation, along with photographs, drawings, and paintings. Based on archival research into the house and its residents during World War II, and especially its use as a secret hiding place for Jews, this exhibition marks the anniversary of 80 Years of Freedom in the Netherlands.
You will then have the chance to enjoy some drinks and nibbles or the permanent collection in your own pace.
Drinks will be served in the imposing garden and 3 museum docents will be at hand throughout the museum to give you more information and background on the permanent collection.
All delivered in English, you will be part of a group of guests of expats, repats and other internationally minded 'Amsterdammers'!
Booking essential as we have limited places!!
Upon booking you will receive an automated email confirming your place and more information on the evening.
