🎤 Sam Debruyn (dataroots)
Sam Debruyn is a Cloud Data Solution Architect with a passion for the modern data stack. In his day-to-day, he designs and implements data platforms that support customers in harvesting the full potential of their data. As a true believer in open-source, he is a top contributor to dbt and several adapters and packages. Sam is also a dbt Community Award winner, organizer of the Belgium dbt Meetups, and a frequent speaker at data meetups and conferences.

dbt at Van Oord: A case study on how we log runs and handle our HR data
In this presentation, they will give an overview of the platform architecture and DBT's role in it, and discuss the specific challenges encountered when doing analytics engineering at Van Oord.
Furthermore, they will present two analytics engineering case studies: how we handle DBT run logs, and SQL patterns which are commonly encountered when working with HR data. (edited)
