Dapr Workflow workshop Use durable execution to build resilient distributed apps

Details
This meetup is organized in collaboration with the .NET Amsterdam meetup . A big thank you to Diagrid for sponsoring the food & drinks and to Effectory for providing the venue/ location.
Join us for a in-person hands-on workshop where you'll discover how Dapr Workflow can revolutionize the reliability of your distributed .NET applications. We'll dive into durable execution patterns, explore essential workflow techniques like task chaining and fan-out/fan-in, and learn how to handle errors and retries gracefully. This interactive session will give you practical experience with Dapr's workflow management APIs and help you understand how to work within the platform's limitations.
Come prepared to code! So bring you own laptop and try to have the prerequisites installed beforehand to make optimal use of the workshop evening.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how you can use Dapr Workflow to improve the reliability of distributed .NET applications.
We’ll cover:
- What durable execution is.
- How Dapr Workflow works.
- How to apply workflow patterns, such as task chaining, fan-out/fan-in, monitor, external system interaction, and child workflows.
- How to handle errors and retries.
- How to use the workflow management API.
- How to work with workflow limitations.
Prerequisites
Run Dapr locally:
- [Docker Desktop](https://www.docker.com/products/docker-desktop/) (or a similar container runtime)
- [Dapr CLI](https://docs.dapr.io/getting-started/install-dapr-cli/)
Or run Dapr in the cloud:
- Sign up for [Diagrid Catalyst](https://www.diagrid.io/catalyst) (free serverless platform for hosting Dapr APIs)
Travel to the location
By public transport, Metro 52 (Noord-Zuid lijn), stop Rokin, exit Dam; the location is next to the exit.
Please note that there is no parking available at the venue.
Traveling by car to the city center of Amsterdam might take quite some time, in some cases it might be faster to make use of Park and Ride (P+R) - City of Amsterdam. The closest parking garage is Rokin - Gemeente Amsterdam.
