Agenda:

06.00 pm - Walk-in/Doors open: Food & Drinks

06.50 pm - Welcome

07.00 pm - Oops moments part I:

Ivica Kolenkaš - Never let a good oops go to waste
Modern enterprises rarely have time to tackle tech debt, especially if their revenue isn't directly tied to the awesomeness of their tech. In life, the only thing constant is change, and I would dare to add, failing. Failing fast and having a quick feedback loop is essential for progress. How do you use failures to advance your company's tech and make it better and more secure?

Join me in sharing several stories about how engineers working for a fashion enterprise used the failures they encountered to turn things around and make improvements.

Paris Kasidiaris - Production password pwned by a botnet!
In January 2014, we suddenly noticed that a new l33t named file premiered on our production application server. The production application system of SourceLair (Online IDE) was pwned by a botnet! This is a story of how an already cloudy —yet quiet— day in Cambridge turned upside down by a simple bot, how we got into Clouseau mode to find what happened and what we did to save us a few hours of sleep in the future!

07.45 pm - Break

07.55 pm - Oops moments part II:

Daniel Rivera & Marina Burkhardt - Stay Calm and Architect On: Navigating DevOps Disasters
Join Daniel and Marina as they share a memorable "Oops" moment from their DevOps journey and offer valuable insights on preventing similar mishaps. In this session, you’ll learn how to adopt a Solutions Architect perspective, focusing on proactive mechanisms, robust frameworks, and forward-thinking strategies to avert disasters while adhering to AWS best practices. Discover how to remain calm in the face of incidents, understanding that failures are inevitable and solving them is a crucial part of a DevOps professional’s role. Equip yourself with the knowledge and tools to stay composed and architect well, even when everything fails.

08.30 pm - Get together with snacks and drinks

09.00 pm - Doors closing
