Experience the Rijksmuseum in a different way, through sketching!
Each time, paintings conservator and aspiring sketch artist Liz Hébert selects a different area of the world famous Rijksmuseum for a 1.5 hr drawing class history lesson. Liz will guide you through the museum and introduce the basic concepts of drawing while sharing fun facts and insights into the objects and art that make up the museum collection.
You’ll sketch wooden sculptures from the middle ages, vases from the dutch trade with china, and learn how to draw a basic line drawing of a painting from the 17th century. All are welcome to join regardless of previous drawing experience!
A guided tour of the Rijksmuseum typically costs at least €70. Liz is offering her drawing tour at the low price of €12 (excluding a Rijksmuseum entrance ticket)
This drawing tour is perfect for those of you with a museum pass. A museum pass allows you to visit the Rijksmuseum for free. WIthout a museum pass, a separate Rijksmuseum ticket needs to be purchased at €25.
