What we’re about
This group is for anyone who wants to play football.
Participation in this group means you agree with the rules listed below. Why we have these rules? Because unfortunately we are dealing with bad behaviour and players who do not show up without announcements. So it might sound strict, but unfortunately it proved necessary.
A. Group
This Group is organised by Maarten and Ramon. We are both from the Netherlands and like to make it possible for playing football with other people (like from meetup).
We mainly play indoor football 6 vs 6 in halls around the city, but in summer we also play outdoors.
B. Newcomers
Newcomers are welcome to this group. Newcomers always need to get in touch with the organisers (being Ramon for Saturday and Maarten for Sunday) before they can play. We have a Whatsapp Group for newcomers where we post spots and we post on meetup.
Turn on your Meetup settings, so that you can receive messages from the organisers directly. If you do not do that, we need to ban you as this is the first and only way we can communicate directly with you.
C. Payment
Hiring the hall, buying the bibs and a ball, etc costs money so we ask for a fair contribution per game. Payment can only be made to the host of the game. Try to bring the exact amount or small notes and coins if possible. No 50 euro bills or 5 cent/10 cent coins please.
Payment can also be made by bank transfer to the host, but only when the host agree to it. The intention is that you make the transfer yourself before the game starts or immediately afterwards. It's not the job of a host to help you remember.
D. Listing / Signing up or out for a game
The host will decide who is playing and who is not playing. We want to give everybody a fair change to play. We have a lot of regulars and fill the open spots with meetup and the newcomers. There is therefore no right to play but more of a “favor”.
When you have a spot and not able to make it, contact as soon as possible the host. The host can get replacement keeping the rule a fair change to play and the regulars group in mind. Do not RSVP (not going) on meetup yet. Sometimes the waitinglist contains players that already are playing that week or not in the Country or not reading the email / meetup messages . By cancellations the host needs to be sure a replacement player is possible to play and therefore finds a player by whatsapp before using the wailuinglist. The host will RVSP you out and put the new player in.
The message that your are not able to play should be done at least 24 hours before a game. If you RSVP out with less than 24 hours, we could ban you for a few weeks. Be aware that it is a team sport. Emergencies may of course happen, we will look at those per occurence.
The hosts of the games will decide the starting lineups/teams, they will be pre-announced. Please look at the shirt colour your teams have.
E. Getting a ban from this our group
A no Show will get you a permanent ban. There are a lot of people who want spots, simply not showing up means that the teams have uneven numbers (no fun game to play) and you ruin it for all.
Not paying your gamefees will get you a permanent ban.
Bad behavior.
Frequently being too late could making us decide to ban you.
Using coarse, insulting language, bad words and / or gestures. Spitting or other forms of expressing extreem displeasure.
Deliver frequent and continuous comments.
Reckless and rough contact.
A player must be able to keep his fanatics up to a level to prevent injury to another and be respectfull to others and the hosts. We do not accept other behavior and unfortunately you are permanently denied to this group.
Seriously mean game. This can be considered as a kick or a tackle that endangers the safety of the other player.
To perform a violent act. An elbow, stair and strike belong to this category.
Not following or fight agains the rules of this Group.
F. Rules during the game
The surface is indoor hardcourt (not astro). Use appropriate footwear that is clean and does not leave marks. Do NOT go into the hall with your indoor shoes on, but take them with you and change at the hall.
The mentioned time is kick-off time! So try to be there at least 15 minutes early to allow for sufficient time to say hello, change and warm up. Also, making teams always takes a few minutes.
Halfway through we have a 2-3 minute break
The hosts of the game can decide to switch how many players are needed in case of an unequal game.
Physical contact is not allowed in indoor soccer. But we allow some like a slight shoulder push.
Reckless and rough contact is forbidden; like a sliding or working a lot with your hands/arms !
Avoid arguing during the match, they are a waste of time and bad for the atmosphere.
As we play without referee, the game must lead itself. However, the host decides in case of unclear situations.
We do not have designated goalkeepers, so we switch every 7 minutes from goalkeeper. Before the game, when we divide the teams, we will all get a number. Number 1 starts in goal, after 7 minutes, number 2 will get that place, etc, etc.
G. Basic indoor football rules
• A pass back from a team mate to the GK can not be picked up by the GK.
• Slidings are not allowed.
• There is no offside in futsal
• Kicking instead of throw-ins
• By free kicks (and when the ball was out) you should keep a distance of 5 meters
• From a corner kick can be scored directly in the goal of the opponent
• From a kick-off of when the ball was out, can not be scored directly in the goal of the opponent
H. The indoor football rules that we do not follow
Playback on the keeper is not allowed (unless the ball was over the centerline, the opponent's had the ball or if the ball was out.
The 4 second rule; A keeper must throw or kick a ball within 4 seconds; Free kicks must be taken within 4 seconds; Corners must be taken within 4 seconds (otherwise the ball is awarded to the goalkeeper of the opposing team).
