What we’re about

Hey guys!

As a Brazilian, I love footvolley (or futevôlei as we call it there) and I want to bring this incredible practice to the lowlands.

Footvolley was created in 60s Brazil. When they prohibited football to be played on beaches, but volleyball was still allowed, a smart man found a loophole.
In this event, we celebrate and practice this loophole!

The official base rules are exactly the same as volleyball, but you cannot touch the ball with arms or hands. In our sessions, we normally play with variations in the rules to make it more accessible, as footvolley can be quite tricky for non-experienced players.

Pelé was my nickname in Brazil ever since I was 12, but don't feel intimidated by it. Unfortunately for me, the nickname does not correspond with my actual skills, fortunately for you, it means that this meetup is open for all experience levels! 😁 Never tried it? Just come and give it a shot!

Sometimes we play at a beach, and sometimes we play on the grass field in front of The House of Watt

Free event.
All levels are welcome!

See you there!

We have also a WhatsApp group, so if you want to communicate with the footvolley community you can enter here: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KAWtncqKeIkJfw1iwtJaPP
