GraphQL Amsterdam Is Back!

Hi everyone!

My name is Uri (https://github.com/urigo) and I’m the new organizer of the GraphQL Amsterdam Meetup group.

I used to work at Apollo and later founded The Guild, which develops a lot of the open source libraries in the GraphQL ecosystem:
(graphql-code-generator, GraphQL Modules, GraphQL Inspector, GraphQL CLI, GraphQL Config, SOFA, GraphQL Scalars, Apollo Angular, Stencil Apollo, GraphQL Import, merge-graphql-schemas, GraphQL Toolkit and more...)

The group has been silent for 3 years so I thought it was time to revive it!

I’ve already spoken with many GraphQL developers in Amsterdam.
There are a lot of us, with plenty of great companies using GraphQL in production.
So we deserve an active community and Meetup where we can share ideas, ask questions and learn from each other.

I’ve also created an online space where we could chat and keep in contact before and after Meetups: https://discord.gg/xud7bH9
(check out the #graphql-amsterdam channel inside)

🗣So spread the word! We are back and we are here to stay!🗣

For the first Meetup, to kick things off, we’ve partnered with long time GraphQL supporters Lifely, which have been GraphQL early adopters and even hosted the first GraphQL Meetup in Amsterdam.

They were extremely generous and excited to host the upcoming Meetup as well, in their beautiful offices, and they will also give a deep dive talk from their extensive experience with GraphQL.
(and took care of providing us with great food!)

I will also give a short introductory talk about GraphQL and it’s ecosystem.

KLM will share their experience using GraphQL at scale.

We will end with a Q&A session with the speakers panel and the audience (which I hope to do on every Meetup).

But most important, we will have time to chat, meet each other and talk about how we can make GraphQL Amsterdam great again ;)
