Tone with Intent Writers Workshop

Details
Simply put, this is a writing workshop for creative growth. Join us to share your creative expression among fellow writers and get directed feedback from your peers.
At some point each writer is confronted by the question of their own voice. Often many times. We may find ourselves contemplatively circling back to this same point of contention. This may sound introductory, but the reality is something crucial no matter how seasoned a writer has become. Striking tone and achieving the coordination of creative vision with execution is a subtle skill on which all measure of success rests.
The hope for this workshop is to provide tools for self-examination by considering additional perspectives. With continued reflection helping to distill your creative voice as clearly resonate. A voice then perceived by readers more closely to your original intent. It depends most heavily on the nature of your own creative goals. But our goal is to assist you in your goal achievement.
We expect nothing less than a respectful environment of constructive critique. Please bring any creative writing work less than 500 words in length you would like to submit for discussion. This can be non-fiction, fiction, poetry, a completed piece or an excerpt. Please provide a companion background of less than 50 words on the same page as your work. Please consider some of the following inclusion points for your background: context for the piece, theme, perspective, creative struggle, creative goal, focus of critique desired, etc.

The creative impulse is something naturally endowed and deep within all of us. We encourage courting the fundamental experiences of our collective past by communing with nature and considering a cultural framework of empowerment. Seeking the stillness, the harmony, and the intuitive wisdom that arises when most mindful. Attaining a balanced juxtaposition of ourselves as very much part of the natural world, reliant upon a deep cultural simplicity that precedes us. With time you may even find some sense of clarity about what is truly necessary and what is glaringly unnecessary to give just reign to your own voice.
