About us
Analog Connection (analog-connection.com) is a community for globally-minded women in & around Zurich who are building — or rebuilding — a life here, and want a real third place to belong to.
Our gatherings center around the conversations that matter most to women navigating midlife, transition, and reinvention: identity, belonging, and what it means to finally make time for yourself again.
From mindful walks to conversational salons — no agenda, no networking, just people showing up for each other in a women-centered space for slow, intentional connection and reflection.
This community and gatherings are primarily designed for women and ask all to respectfully support this intention.

Etegami: A Japanese practice of looking, painting and sharing
A morning of conversation, creativity, connection through Etegami 🎨
What happens when you take a little time to really look at something ordinary?
A flower. A piece of fruit. Your favourite mug. A leaf you picked up on your hike.
Etegami (pronounced eh-teh-gah-mee) is a Japanese practice of hand-painting simple everyday things, then adding a few handwritten words — a thought, a small observation, a greeting, or simply whatever comes to mind.
Think of it as an analog version of Instagram: one image, one caption, one captured moment. But instead of scrolling past, you spend time looking. Instead of collecting likes, you make something with your own hands that can be shared, mailed, or simply kept.
And you don't need to be an artist.
In fact, Etegami is not about producing a beautiful or technically perfect painting. It is about looking closely, noticing the small details, and allowing your own hand and words to capture what you see. A little imperfection is part of the charm.

A morning of doing it together
This is not an art class or a formal workshop. I'll introduce the basic idea and principles of Etegami, and then we'll simply sit together and paint.
I'll provide the Japanese brushes, watercolours, washi paper and Etegami cards. You can choose what you want to paint, experiment with the materials, and create a few cards at your own pace.
There is no previous drawing or painting experience needed — and no expectation to produce anything “good.”
Just come with curiosity, an open mind, and perhaps an appreciation for the pleasure of making something by hand.
We'll spend a couple of hours looking, painting, writing and sharing — together.
You may leave with a few handmade Etegami cards. More importantly, you may find that you have looked at something familiar a little differently.
Kindly note: This event requires registration and payment on Analog Connection website. Click here to register!
The fee includes use of all materials including Japanese calligraphy brushes, water-color paint, special washi paper and set of cards.

Bring a Book, Share a Story (Non-fiction edition)
Lochergut, 8004 Zürich, Switzerland, Zürich, ZH, CHNote: This event requires advance registration before Sun, 4-Oct-2026 on Analog Connection website. Please click here to register.
Not a book club. Just an easy evening of books, stories, and honest conversation with people you haven't met yet.
Here's the idea: you bring one book that left a mark on you through a change, a challenge, or a meaningful moment in your life — and we share the learnings from them.
In October we will focus on non-fiction books, facilitated by Jana.
Whether it's a book of wisdom, strategic skills or enlightening science, if it caught your attention and moved you, chances are others will find it interesting too. So why not share your insights? Bring the book that meant something to you and let's share a story behind it!
Whether you read one book a year or one a week, you're welcome here!
What to expect: A small group around a table. A relaxed, facilitated conversation. Light snack, honest talk, no pressure to perform.
Come with a book, a story to share and an open mind!📅 Wed, 7-Oct-2026 | 18.30-20.30
📍 Zurich Lochergut area (Kreis 4) (Exact address will be sent to registrants closer to the date)🎟 Free, but space is limited so please register directly on Analog Connection website here before 4-Oct-2026.
About Jana
Jana is a coach for women navigating career reorientation and life transitions. After years as a team lead in male-oriented fields, a near-burnout pushed her to question everything — she resigned, traveled, and rebuilt her path on her own terms. She now coaches women through the same process: finding clarity, then the courage to act on it. Fluent in 6 languages with a few more in progress, she's drawn to conversations that go beneath the surface.About Analog Connection
