Inside ETH Zurich’s Data Stack: Analytics for Universities

Universities sit on huge amounts of data, but turning it into something departments can use is a different challenge. How do you build an analytics foundation for an institution with many departments, different needs and very different levels of data maturity?

In this roundtable, we open the books on a real-world example: the analytics and data stack we built together with ETH Zurich. We’ll walk you through:

• The foundation: the data setup we started with, and why
• The evolution: the extensions we added along the way
• The people side: how we trained the different departments to work with the data
• The road ahead: how data is used today, and how ETH wants to use it in the future

Expect an honest, practical look at a real project, with plenty of room for your questions and your own experiences. Whether you’re just starting to rethink your institution’s data setup or want to get more out of the one you have, you’ll leave with ideas to take back to your team.
