The winter solstice marks a threshold moment. Cultures have gathered for eons to recognise cosmic events, not because we are promised some radical transformation, but because shared ritual cultivates fertile ground for a meaningful life through reflection, connection and growth.
Rituals help us digest change, build resilience, and experience and express that which may not be so accessible in our day-to-day lives.
This winter solstice day retreat is an opportunity to pause, reflect and explore what it means to loosen your grip, release a little clinging and grasping to open to a quality of presence with a little less of the magnetism of attachment.
The longest night calls for an acknowledgement of darkness. Through recognition and ritual, we will embrace the darkness as part of the natural cycle of life, welcoming the perspectives it offers before orienting ourselves towards the illumination of the renewing sun.
Through Asana, Kriya, Japa mantra and meditation, we will spiral inwards, using practices to encourage self-inquiry, release and mark transitions to more fully experience our own lives.
