We'll take the 8:30 to 8:45 Whittier Tunnel opening and launch together around 10:15 or 10:30.

This trip will be canceled if excessive wind is expected. The current forecast is for a chance of rain but mild wind and seas. Weather can change quickly; be prepared and know your limits.

I think it costs $13 to go through the Whittier Tunnel at 8:30-8:45, pay $11 for parking, and enjoy a leisurely launch from Smitty's Cove at 60.7772,-148.6655855. To pay the $11 parking fee, you need to download and use the Passport app (enter Zone 9001 for Whittier AK), since the kiosk near the US Coast Guard is now out of order. You can download it from home or from that kiosk (it has a QR code on it to make it easy).
